In addition to the existing direct flight routes from WestJet and Air Canada departing from major cities such as Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Montreal, two new airlines have recently expanded travel options.
In January 2019, Swoop Airlines, a new low-cost carrier under the ownership of WestJet, introduced direct flights to Puerto Vallarta from Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) in British Columbia and John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) in Ontario. These routes provide twice-weekly service to our sunny destination.
Furthermore, Canada Jetlines is set to launch new direct flights from Canada to Puerto Vallarta later in 2019, offering another affordable travel option for visitors. While specific routes are yet to be confirmed, agreements have already been established with Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, the managing entity of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Flight operations for Fall 2019 are expected to be announced this summer.
