This holiday season in Puerto Vallarta
This holiday season in Puerto Vallarta is characterized by bringing not only good wishes and a spirit of tranquility, but also many activities in the port for you to enjoy your vacation with your family and partner.
Here are some of the activities you can find throughout the season starting December 1!
Guadalupe Festivities

The streets of Puerto Vallarta are filled with colors, music, and flavors with the pilgrimages to honor the Virgin of Guadalupe. Every year, these are one of the most popular traditions in the port, taking place from December 1 to 12.

This traditional procession begins at the start of the Malecón and heads to the Parish Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, where folk dance groups dance in the streets with banners of the Virgin, songs, and floats decorated with lights and religious images. Locals and foreigners alike take to the streets to enjoy this celebration and the popular festival, where you will find Mexican snacks everywhere and items related to the celebration.
Visit whales and dolphins in the wild

The entire bay is known worldwide as a place where humpback whales come during the winter to mate and give birth to their young.
Puerto Vallarta is home to incredible marine wildlife, including dolphins, turtles, and manta rays. Take a tour to observe these species and encounter dolphins in the wild. You can also visit Los Arcos de Mismaloya, a wonderful place for kayaking and snorkeling.
Crafts and Markets

In December, you can find traditional art, food, and craft markets in both Marina Vallarta and Lázaro Cárdenas Park in the Romantic Zone.
The traditional Art & Market located in Marina Vallarta offers a variety of crafts, Huichol art, sculptures, hand-woven clothing, and handmade jewelry, as well as art exhibitions and paintings by local artists. Every Thursday, you will find this space full of options for your Christmas gifts or a souvenir of your visit to Puerto Vallarta.
On the other hand, the market in Lázaro Cárdenas Park, also known as Parque de los Azulejos, is already a tradition during the high season. Every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., you will find a space full of delicious cuisine, art, wine, and musical performances by local artists.
You can enjoy both from October to March.
Turtle Release

Enjoy a unique experience from June to December, where you can help baby turtles enter the sea for the first time.
Puerto Vallarta has positioned itself as one of the world’s most important coastlines for the preservation and conservation of this important species.
Various hotels in Puerto Vallarta participate in these types of programs to care for and aid in the reproduction of these species, working alongside different associations dedicated to the conservation of marine species.
Remember that if you attend one of these releases, do not touch the baby turtles directly. Our skin has contaminants that can harm them, so it is recommended to wear gloves or have the instructor place them in a glass or on a surface to avoid touching them.
These are some of the places that carry out this activity:
Boca de Tomates Sea Turtle Camp, CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta, Mayto Turtle Sanctuary, and the Westin Regina, Velas Vallarta, Hyatt Ziva hotels, etc.
