When you think of famous Mexican cocktails, of course, the Margarita comes to mind. But have you been lucky enough to sample the Margarita’s cousin? We’re talking about the delicious Paloma. Tequila and grapefruit-based, the Paloma cocktail is perfectly refreshing for summer and may just become your new favorite vacation drink. Here is how to make one to enjoy on the spacious terrace of your Pinnacle Resorts luxury vacation rental in downtown Puerto Vallarta.
What You Need
¼ cup fresh grapefruit juice
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ cup Tequila
¼ cup mineral water
Course salt
1 grapefruit wedge to garnish
What You Do
Gently rub the grapefruit wedge around the rim of your cocktail glass and then dip the glass in a plate of salt, for a nice salty rim. Add grapefruit juice, lime juice and sugar and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Mix in Tequila, ice cubes and top up with mineral water. Then garnish with your grapefruit wedge.
