Here we’ve listed a few locations that we think are worth checking out while enjoying your stay at our luxury hotel in the Zona Romantica – in the heart of all the fun!
If you’re a salsa lover, La Bodeguita del Medio is where you need to be. A funky Cuban bar with live salsa bands every night, here you’ll find lovers and friends, young and old, dancing through the night steps away from the ocean on the malecon. We highly recommend the mojitos!
If you’re looking for something a little more low key, literally – just around the corner is the Jazz Foundation. Settle down for a bite to eat with a nice glass of wine or classic cocktail and treat yourself to a night of smooth jazz.
However, if you’re more of the out and proud kind who loves to sing their heart out to classics from all decades past…then Mr. Flamingo’s is the perfect spot for you. It’s an open-air palapa style bar right in the heart of Old Town with a great sound system and a DJ every night. This spot is perfect for dancing, singing, and socializing with new and old friends.
On the corner at the other end of that same block, there’s a great spot known as El Soñador. Translated into “The Dreamer”, this classic, yet stylish bar hosts a glorious pool table on the main floor and a stunning open-air terrace on the second. These guys have a great cocktail menu and a full open-air kitchen on the terrace. A few nights a week they host lively rock bands who really know how to put on a show. This spot is great for anyone looking to start the night off with a few drinks and some delicious food, or to rock out to some live music and meet some new friends.
