• Be sure to have a health certificate from your vet dated within 10 days of your departure.
• Book a direct flight.
• Select the right size pet carrier for your pet and be sure to start familiarizing your pet with the carrier well in advance of your trip.
• Do not feed your pet 4 to 6 hours prior to your trip and if possible, affix a collapsible water bowl inside the carrier with a few ice cubes in it for time-release drinking water.
And of course, you want your pet to be on his or her best behavior so that other guests love your pet as much as you do, so remember:
• Always use designated potty areas and pick up after your pet.
• Always keep your pet on leash in public areas.
• Always respect non-pet designated areas.
